Congressman Souder welcomed Kim Wayne to the Capitol on October 15, 2009. He was in Washington to officially accept the award of Indiana Principal of the year.  Kim is the principal of Kankakee Valley High School, and was also the principal at Garrett High School for many years.

Amanda Wolschleger, a college student from Angola, Indiana, visited with Congressman Mark Souder in his Washington office on September 16, 2009.  She is in Washington as part of the Washington Center program.

Robert Newman, the American Legion Indiana State Commander, visited with Congressman Mark Souder in his Washington office on September 10, 2009.  They discussed veterans issues relating to health care.

Congressman Souder's staff met with WWII Veterans from Elkhart County, on August 29, 2009. The Veterans were visiting Washington DC to visit Arlington Cemetery, the White House, and the World War II memorial.
